Responsibilities: CORMAC is seeking
an experienced MQ Series expert for a current project.
Administrator/Architect will configure application Messaging
Software to stress test the software, abilities in both
a distributed queue manager and cluster configurations.
Will work with Application Development Project Teams
to determine individual Project messaging requirements.
Utilize that information to establish and modify enterprise
Messaging Software infrastructure requirements. Work
with Application Development Project Teams to establish
and enforce standards, procedures, conventions, frameworks,
and lifecycles for projects that utilize messaging software.
Perform Messaging Software capacity planning (modeling,
storage, growth) activities. Monitor and manage application
resource utilization. Monitor execution and performance
of messaging applications. Propose tuning adjustments
(both application and environment) modifications as
appropriate. In addition, oversee and verifies the migration
of application specific messaging components to new
environments. Assists with the determination of the
overall deployment of messaging installations and configurations.
Also responsible for enforcing naming conventions for
messaging objects.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in Information Systems or other
computer related field. Six (6) years hands-on work
related experience may be substituted for degree.
- A minimum of four (4) to six (6) years working knowledge
in IBM MQSeries messaging software.
- Working knowledge of a J2EE Java Application Servers
including at least one of the following technologies:
IBM Websphere or BEA Weblogic 4. A minimum of Three
(3) to six (6) years working with Mainframe DB2, and
client server Oracle products.
