Title: Data Administrator
Location: Washington, DC/Baltimore

Responsibilities: The Data Administrator (DA) shall provide guidance and assistance in the
development, maintenance, administration and enforcement of data and
metadata standards, guidelines, and procedures; providing up-to-date
knowledge regarding data and metadata administration architectures and
standards, methodologies and associated tools; participating in Joint
Application Development (JAD) sessions and gathering data requirements;
doing logical data modeling and participating in walkthroughs and design
reviews; constructing, and or extending a detailed Enterprise Data Model
(EDM) or Enterprise Dimensional Data Model (EDDM), while coordinating with
the Enterprise Architecture (EA) component to ensure compatibility with the
conceptual models of the Information Architecture; and conducting DA
training and presentations.
Minimum Qualifications: The candidate
posses the following knowledge, skills and experience
at a minimum:
- 7+ years experience in Dimensional Modeling techniques.
- 10+ years experience in Relational Modeling techniques.
- Demonstrated skill performing business requirements
analysis and
documentation.
- Experience interfacing with IT professionals and
business customers.
- Experience modeling data with the CA AllFusion data
modeling tool.
- Experience leading and conducting technical reviews
of database
application and enterprise data models.
- Experience participating as a subject matter and
technical expert in
technical reviews of database application and enterprise
data models.
- Experience creating and providing design artifacts
for technical
reviews of database application and enterprise data
models.
The following are desired candidate knowledge, skills
and experience:
- Experience with the Microsoft Visio modeling tool.
- Experience interfacing with health care professionals
and associated
business customers.
- Skills and experiences with the health care insurance
industry
subject matter domains.
